Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most important questions about our research peptides, ordering, and quality assurance.
General
What are research peptides?
Research peptides are synthetically produced short-chain amino acid compounds intended strictly for scientific in-vitro laboratory research. They are used to study cellular signaling pathways, receptor binding, and biochemical mechanisms.
What does 'pre-filled pen' mean?
A pre-filled pen is a delivery system containing the research peptide in a precise dosage, eliminating the need for reconstitution and ensuring exact, reproducible dosing for laboratory experiments.
Are PenPeptid products intended for human use?
No. All PenPeptid products are sold strictly as research chemicals for in-vitro laboratory use only. They are not intended for human consumption, veterinary diagnostics, or therapy.
Ordering & Shipping
Where are the products shipped from?
All our peptides are produced, packed, and shipped directly from state-of-the-art laboratory facilities in Belgium.
How long does shipping take?
We offer fast delivery. For many regions (e.g., Germany, Belgium), delivery takes approximately 1 business day (Next-Day-Delivery) if ordered early.
What happens in case of shipping delays?
If your shipment is delayed by the carrier, you can always track the status via the tracking link in your shipping confirmation email. Contact our support for exceptional delays.
When is shipping free?
Shipping is free for orders over β¬500. For orders below this amount, shipping costs depend on the destination country.
Can research peptides be returned?
Due to strict hygiene and quality requirements for laboratory research chemicals, we cannot accept returns of opened or tampered peptides. Please see our Return Policy for details.
Quality & Purity
How is peptide purity ensured?
Each peptide undergoes a triple quality control: HPLC chromatography for purity analysis, Mass Spectrometry (MS) for molecular identity confirmation, and Endotoxin analysis. All results are documented in a Certificate of Analysis (CoA).
What is a Certificate of Analysis (CoA)?
A Certificate of Analysis documents the quality testing results of a specific batch, including HPLC purity, mass spectrometry data, and endotoxin results. Every PenPeptid shipment includes a batch-specific CoA.
What does β₯98% HPLC purity mean?
It means at least 98% of the measured peak area in the HPLC chromatogram is assigned to the target peptide. This is an industry-standard quality benchmark for research peptides.
Storage & Handling
How long are peptides stable in solution?
Lyophilized peptides are very stable. Once in solution, they should be stored refrigerated at 2-8Β°C and ideally used within 4-6 weeks for research experiments to ensure maximum bioactivity.
Legal
Who is eligible to buy PenPeptid products?
Buyers must be qualified researchers working in scientific institutions, licensed laboratories, or industry. By purchasing, you confirm that the products will be used strictly for in-vitro studies.
